May Goal Check In

forestofgloryIt's about the middle of the month so its time to check in and see how my goals for May are going.
1) Finish the space cat quilt top
Done! I'm really happy with how this came out (Pictures on Twitter or Instagram)
2)Rainbow Quilt Top
I'm making great progress with this! I've got all the rows made and just need to sew them together
2.5)Stretch Goal: Sew at least one block of the space bee quilt
No progress on this but I should have time to do it once I finish with the rainbow quilt.
3) Write on Short and Sweet column
No progress on this.
4) Finish Essay about Agrarianism
I have added some words to the pile, but I'm feeling like I don't know where I want this to go at the moment.
5) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
On Friday I panicked a bit about not having written one of these, and wrote something up, but now I see that I never actually posted it. Since I just wrote it on the create entries its gone now. On the one hand it wasn't exactly my best work, but I'm still not thrilled that I have to do it all over again.
6) Read FiveOnline SFF shorts
I have read two. Removing the "online" part of this goal so I will maybe read some of the longer things that I have in anthologies on my ereader. Maybe I'll actually finish the anthology I started months ago?
7)Various Medical Stuff
I have had my second dose of vaccine. Still to go: taking the kid to the dentist and a pap smear.
Well, I'm doing great on my sewing goals but I'm pretty far behind on my writing goals. I did get distracted by writing letter prompts which ended up taking longer than expected but I've also just had a hard time focusing. I really do feel like I should be able to get more done, given that my kid is now back in physical school, and I'm unemployed. It's frustrating!
