Sewing Pic Spam!

I've been sewing a lot recently. Here are some pictures



I've been working on making Tang Dynasty Clothing for my 18 inch doll. First I made a new shirt and jacket.


Now I'm working on trying to make a jacket with a round collar. When I'm happy with the collar I'm going to make a round collared robe, for the cross dressing Tang Dynasty Lady look.

This was my first try (Note also new shirt and pants):

I didn't work out how I hope, but I did learn something!

This is my second try at a round collar:

I'm much happier with this version of the collar but there's still some tweeks I want to make so I'll be doing a third version at some point.


I've also finished a bunch of quilt squares

Those are cute doll clothes! And I love the quilt squares. Maybe this summer is the summer I actually start to make a quilt. (Probably I’ll make some more bowl cozies lol)

If it helps I started this quilt like five years ago, and have only worked on it sporadically. Hopefully I will actually finish it some day.

I am intimidated by the process, even though I know it’s perfectly fine to work on something off and on. I watch a lot of video tutorials that seem pretty easy to follow as well. But maybe I’ll start with that stripey quilt block you made. That one looked pretty good as a product as well as beginner friendly.

The stripey blocks are pretty fun and go together fairly fast (Unlike these sawtooth stars that felt like they were taking forever). Good for using up scraps too!
