I frequently cope with feeling overwhelmed and depressed by making things. Right now due to wrist issues I can't do that as much. However R offered to help me with some baking projects in the last couple of weeks. We made butterscotch brownies (something I made often as a undergrad) and a lemon cake, form a recipe a friend wrote out for me when she visited years ago. All the baked goods where delicious and it was nice to make things with R!
Meanwhile on the tea front, Teavire had a sale on samples a few months ago, and I went a little overboard buying things to try. They packed all the samples in little envelopes each with about 5 grams of tea. (The one sample is two envelopes) This turns out to be a very handy size for my larger gaiwan. I can just open up an envelope, pour all of it into the gaiwan and try some fun tea! Most of the time I just make myself a mug of tea, but having lots of samples has been encouraging me to use my fancy tea things a bit more often.
