September Mid-month Goals Check In

forestofgloryWell its the midpoint of the month. Time for a goals check in. Here are the goals I made for this month and how I'm doing at each of them.
1)Finish Editing "Can't Stop Thinking of That Far Road"
I'm pretty close to done with this. I might start posting as soon as this weekend!
2)Read Five Online SFF shorts
I have read two! Neither of them was flash!
3) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
I've written one so far. Hopefully I will be able to write the next one about something other than smoke. (The air is better today than it's been in a while!)
4)Write one critical essay
Written and posted! "Reccing as Critical Practice"
5) Write a letter to state or local officials (Two for a stretch goal)
No progress on this yet
6) Do some of a)work on that top for me, b)start sewing some long sleeve shirts for the kid for winter or c) baste the magic parade/dragon quilt.
I haven't worked on the top. The quilt requires me going outside for the next step so that hasn't happened. I've traced the pattern in the right size and picked fabric for the long sleeve, so that's a little progress. I have been sewing I'm just working on a soothing quilting project that has no planned home instead of these projects.
7)Do something to observe the High Holly Days
I have printed out a recipe for apple honey challah that I plan to make this weekend.
Well I am crushing my writing goals! I'm impressed with myself here. And I'm making acceptable progress on the non-writing goals. This month has been full of terrible smokey air and stress so its nice to write this all up an see that I'm actually doing things
