July Goals Check In

It's the middle of the month huh? Time for a goals check in!

1) Finish the rainbow baby quilt
Done! I think its one of the pretest things I've ever made. pictures

2) Sew a top for me
I have found the fabric for this and placed in on my ironing board. I forgot how much I like it. Hopefully going to cut it out latter this week.

3) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural enviroment around me
I have written one

4) Write 5k more of my fic WIP
Well past shelf it would have helped if you'd written down how many words long the fic was on July 1st. It was 3600 on June 28, but I think I wrote a bit more between then and the start of the month. However the fic is currently at 9700 words, or 6000 words longer. So I think that goal counts as completed! I knew I was low-balling myself a bit with this goal but I didn't realize it was by quite this much. Anyways I my stretch goal is to write 10k words or finish a draft.

5) Write two letters to state or local officials
No progress here.

6 )Read Five Online SFF shorts(stretch goal:read some of one of the collections or anthologies I have around)
I have read three shorts, all flash, but still progress is progress.

7) Do something nice for my birthday
I'm starting to make plans! My parents are going to bring me fancy takeout, R and I are going to visit the botanical gardens, and I might do an online hang out with friends.
