Thanksgiving is Coming!

I'm supper excited about Thanksgiving this year. It R and I's first Thanksgiving married, and my first Thanksgiving hosting in the US. I hosted when I was student in England, which was difficult due to not having any time off to cook. Now I'm going to have a whole week off! We decided to stay here in Iowa. R's mother is coming and maybe a couple of friends who are Thanksgiving orphans. We are talking about our menu -- it's going to be fairly traditional with Turkey, and stuffing and cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes and probably something else green. Also pie.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? (I know a bunch of you aren't in the US, and are thus doing ordinary Thursday things but feel free to tell me about your ordinary Thursday plans.)

It is an awful time to travel. I tried to invite my parents to come to Thanksgiving here but my mom said that she'd never travel at Thanksgiving. Anyways I'm sorry you have been enjoying the holiday lately.

(You would be welcome to come celebrate with us, but I image you don't want to travel this far at the last minute)

Thank you, but yes... I'm also really burned out with travel. I'm sure I'll do a bunch of it in the spring, however, because that is what i do.
