forestofgloryYesterday was full of sick people. R was sick, and so was his nephew. (They are both better, but not fully recovered today.)
In the late morning early afternoon I went over to my mother's did some errands with her. 1st we went but the stationary store to pick up a refill for for my datebook. (I have an academic one, that goes July to July) We parked right outside and where just in the store for 10 min, but we got a ticket, which upset my mother a lot.
Next we made a quick stop at the hardware store where my mother picked up some canning jars.
Then we went to the cheeseboard and had pizza for lunch. The pizza has mushrooms and lots of cheese on it. (yum!) Then a to the cheeseboard proper to buy the weeks cheese. It's always lovely to sample the cheese and chat with the worker-owners.
On the way home we stopped at Trader Joe's and bought goodies for my brother. Also my mom got me some vitamins. Her latest CEMs (Continuing Medical Education) say that everyone should be taking vitamin D. She also got me a jar of omega-3 fatty acids which she says are good for depression.
As critic of nutritionalism I have mixed feeling about taking vitamins. I think I'm supposed to get my all my vitamins ect form eating real food. You know a varried plant based diet. (Or in the case of vitamin D form sunlight.) So taking vitamins feels like admitting I don't eat right. (I probably don't -- not enough veggies) But my mom thinks I should try it so I guess I will. Anyways I took one of each last night.
