Summary:
I co wrote this for End Racism in the OTW!
This was the first time I've co-written a fic and it was super fun. I showed Coero my draft of this which was just a list of items and they where like 'This would be better as an interview can I help you with that" and of course I said yes, and as a result you all get a fic that makes much more sense.
Also it was an utter joy to just nerd out about textiles
The stuff going on with respect to racism and other problems with the OTW is super bad, and I hope it can be fixed. (I'm not to hopeful) But I was super impressed with this event!

It will probably make more sense to ask this after reading the fic but it's early morning on my way to work (not fic-time, just short reply-time) and i want to know: what made the narrative more suited for an interview?)

Date: 2023-06-01 03:41 am (UTC)It was a list of items that textile historian JYL had on her desk. And Coero said it needed more context, and what about making it an ethnographic interview? And that gave it more structure and allowed us to explain things more. It's still not exactly story shaped but it makes more sense now.
