July Goal Review and August Goals

Well it's the start of a new month so I guess it's time to look back at my goals and see how things went. Here are all the goals I set myself at the start of the month
1) Ongoing Wrist issues
This pretty much took over my month after I got prescribed prolonged rest for three weeks. This ment using my dominant hand as little as possible. The three weeks are up now, and the problem is not resolved so I'm awaiting further instructions
2) Post something on
ladybusiness
I couldn't do this because of the wrist. I can write some on my phone, but editing is pretty impossible.
3) Write fic on 15 days
While I technically could have done this I felt very stressed and uninspired so I didn't
4) Finish the purple section of the improv rainbow quilt. Stretch goal: Finish the top
Another thing I couldn't do.
5) Do lessons 4-6 in An Introduction to Literary Chinese by Michael A. Fuller
This requires a certain amount of writing by hand so I wasn't able to make progress here either
6)Summer Excitement
I wasn't able to do as much of this as I wanted but with some help I managed some expeditions with the kid. We went on some nice walks.
7)Celebrate my Birthday!
My birthday was lovely! I got to eat many delicious things, see people I love, and received some lovely presents
I also recced many things on Twitter
So I didn't accomplish most of my goals for medical reasons. Obviously this isn't my fault but it still frustrating to be so limited.
I guess I'll set a few goals for August, even though there's a lot of uncertainty about how much I will be able to use my wrist.
1) Continue wrist treatment
As I said above I'm still waiting to talk to a doctor about what's next
2) Back to school
This is happening whether my wrist gets better or not. I expect it will be a bit of an adjustment
3) Write on ten days
I think I would feel better if I wrote a bit more since it's one of my creative outlets that I can at least sort of do with one hand. This month I'm going to count both fic and nonfiction.
If things with my wrist get better then I hope to see some more and work on my Classical Chinese textbook, but I'm not setting goals about these because there's too much uncertainty.
I hope you all have a good month!
