It's the ides of March, I'm feeling very wary. Since it's the middle of the month its time to check in on the goals I set at the beginning of the month.

March has been a tough month for me so far with one year since the start of isolation. Plus I'm feeling flattened by the time change today.

1) Work on fic at least 2520 days this month
So far this month I've worked on fic 10 days. My writing stamina is slowly increasing and now I'm getting 200 words on most days, instead of the 100-200 last month. Given that there are 16 and I need to take some breaks I don't think 25 days of working on fic is realistic, so I'm reducing the goal to 20 days.

2) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
I've written the first of these: "Delicious Exciting food"

3) Read Five Online SFF shorts
I have read one. Focus has been a bit short around here. But shout out to Rita for reccing me an excellent very short story.

4)Finish the Sea Quilt, sea quilt mini
I have done the quilting for these. I've made the binding and am working on sewing it on. So I'm on track to finish in the next week or so.

5)Baste the quilt for baby N, and sew a back for the forest quilt.
I have basted the quilt but not sewn to quilt back. My sewing machine is still set up for quilting, so that will be a project for after I finish the quilts. It's just one long seam so it should be quick.

6)Have some kind of Passover Seder
I have done a little bit of planning for this. My mom cornered me and asked what she should bring so I gave her some suggestions. I've also started thinking about preparing the house for passover.

What projects are you working on? How are they going?

I've been working on dealing with vast amounts of photographs, scanning and organizing. This week, I decided some of the old family pictures can come out of their frames and go into the acid free box. I might put more up-to-date pictures in the frames after I clean the glass.

*hugs*

It just feels so surreal that it's been a year.

Monthly goals! Hobbies! Writing! I'm so impressed!

I'm...spending too much time on twitter. *closes tabs*

However I AM working on my sekret project called "Deck of Life", which I hope to do a kickstarter for in a few months, so that's taking a bit of time. Day!job, of course (bleargh). Last month I started up with Keely's Way again, my daily slice-of-life blog, and I'm proud that I've been holding to that commitment! Also meditating every day, although at random times. What is this "schedule" thing you speak of? Sounds fake. ahahaha. Another positive is that I have drastically cut back my sugar/sweeteners habit, which is long overdue for health reasons.

Things I need to commit to for the second half of the month:
~ dancing every day. I love it, I need to DO it.
~ further dietary clean up, mostly in the form of "less restaurant food & less junk food"
~ creative writing. just that. in any shape or form!

Yay for writing! I'm in a slump on that front, though I did manage to finish a (short) exchange fic due this weekend.

I've also been starting seder planning for my second online family seder. It won't be anything exciting, but I am looking forward to singing some songs with my niece (who wasn't old enough to have a clue what was going on last year).
