Fleeing from the Wens, Wei Wuxian crash lands in a mysterious spaceship

So I decided to break off a smaller bit of the space AU, I was working but then decided to shelve and make it a smaller fic. I've lost perspective on this, so I'm not really sure that it's any good. I could polish it a lot more. But I don't really want to. So this very much in the spirit of just throwing stuff on AO3, because I can. It's nice to get something postable out of all the work I put into the project before

Ok so I've been meaning to ask and this is a random post to do it on: Where do you watch your Korean dramas? I want to get into them, but I am very bad at pirating and don't know where to watch!

Several places! Quite a few Asian dramas are on Netflix now. Also Viki.com is hub for dramas they have a lot of stuff. You can watch for free with ads or get a subscription (Though I find my ad blocker blocks their ads). I've also watched a couple of things on YouTube.

Where would you recommend I start?

I have not actually watched that many dramas and all the ones I have watched are Chinese not Korean. But I'm going to tell you about a two I like that I think are good starting places.

The Untamed This the story of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji who are cultivators (aka magic users) dealing with inter sect war fare and solving mysteries. It is very very swooshy. It's based on a m/m novel but due to censorship the drama is only extremely romantic without explicitly acknowledgement that they are in love. There's also a lot of intense sibling relationships which I love. This is the one that's taken anglophone fandom by a storm recently, so if you do watch it there's tons of fic. On the less positive side the first two episodes are very confusing and the show is terrible to its female characters. If you'd like to know more I recommend this primer

Nirvana in Fire This is about a man who returns form the dead after years to seek justice. Its a court drama. It is extremely well plotted and gorgeously produced! I love all the characters so much, and it has some really excellent women, though the story is still focused on men. The is small anglophone fandom. The main down side of this one is that the ending is very sad. Also its confusing at first and there's a large cast of characters than can be hard to tell apart. Hmmm what else content notes: Both of these have some violence and The Untamed has some gore as well as undead. There's a lot of genocide in The Untamed and some in Nirvana in Fire as well. Nirvana in fire has so medical horror. Both have some sexual assault. I can go into more detail if that would be helpful

Oh thank you for this! Now that I'm thinking of it, skygiants has also been inspiring me - that might be why I thought you were talking about Korean dramas (I think they're watching Korean dramas).
