May Mid-Month Goal Check

1) Write three themed rec lists (four for a stretch)
I have drafted one of these, and I have notes for the other two! I'm going to modify this goal slightly and try to draft all of these by the end of the month but not necessarily post them. That way I can space them out at about one a week an also have some content for early June. (In April I rushed to post all the 5+1s and then I didn't have much to post for a bit -- spacing things out seems nicer)
2)Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural enviroment around me
I wrote one of these. That seems pretty good for halfway through the month.
3)Finish the dress for the kid
I had been putting this off for a long time, but when I finally sat down to sew it it went pretty fast! Here have A picture
4)Sew backs for the two quilt tops I finished in April
These also went really fast, which makes sense because they where just two seams each. The longer part was getting picking up supplies form the fabric store, and pre-washing. No pictures because these are both sold color flannel, one is dark blue and the other is peachy.
5)Quilt the wedding present quilt
Very little progress on this. I was planning to baste this (basically glue all the layers together in prep for sewing all the layers together) but I don't have enough space to do that inside and its been wet all week. I might be able to do it latter today -- we'll see.
6)Attendvirtual WisConWisCONline!
This coming up in less than a week! I'm excited! The program is up! Are any of you planing to take part? Registration is still open until May 20-- and there is free option available.
7)Read Five Online SFF shorts(stretch goal read ten)
I have read five! Four of them where flash fiction, but that totally counts!

Date: 2020-05-27 06:53 pm (UTC)What a beautiful dress! I have sewn only a mask, & my mother was still new at them then so she showed me wrong. xD
I still feel very behind on everything for where I want to be, but much of that is due to the lockdown, so beside that I've been doing pretty well at getting my dailies in order & trying to work on something(s) every day. And the next book I finish, thus picking up another, will finish off the 'To Read' pile I had by my bed! Which gives me hope I can actually start getting through To Read piles again. Also been taking notes on the books I can't write in (yes, I'm a defiler of my own books ;D ).
