I've been catching up with online short fiction that I wanted to read. (There is a lot of it, which is an excellent thing.) Here are some things I've read since my last short fiction rec post that I think are good and worth your time.

Seven Commentaries on an Imperfect Land by Ruthanna Emrys Domestic Jewish Fantasy

Three Partitions by Bogi Takács Not so domestic Jewish Science Fiction that deals with gender issues.

The Contemporary Foxwife by Yoon Ha Lee This one of my very favorite stories this year. Domestic life on a space station with fantasy elements. About family connections.

Spring Festival:Happiness, Anger, Love, Sorrow, Joy by Xia Jia, translated by Ken Liu This hard to explain but really good.

Daughter of Necessity by Marie Brennan

Mostly the short fiction I'm reading at the moment is Zen Cho's Spirits Abroad (price goes up at the end of the weekend).

I liked Three Partitions and will check out the rest!

I have a copy of Spirits Abroad, but I'm saving it.

Glad you liked Three Partitions.

(The Contemporary Foxwife has a secondary character who's personal pronoun is they, but isn't really a gender themed story.)

Only read the first story and part of the second so far, but really like what I see.
