Bits and Bobs

Last Saturday at the farmers market there was sale of suncrest peaches, my favorite varietal. I've been eating then on my cereal in the mornings.

There have been a lot of deer around yesterday. The other day I saw a doe and her fawn right on the back deck.

I'm getting through the Hugo best related work category. I've finished all four of the written works and am now working on Writing Excuses Season 8. Have not made much progress on the short fiction recently because I've been reading the Women Destroy Science Fiction Special Issue of Lightspeed.

I want to do Short Fiction Rec post for 2014 so far, but currently my bookmark fold of stories to read is about as long as the folder of stories I have read. I will mostly likely just post anyways.

I would certainly like to see a list anyway, and I can't possibly be the only one.

Those first two bits make me miss summer all the more. Has the season been kind to you so far?
