I just got back form an excellent talk about crop insurance. I feel inspired to tell you all a bit about it. Did you know that subsidizing crop insurance is one of our most expensive farm programs? The next farm bill is coming up soon and crop insurance is a big part of the current plan. If you'd like to know more the environmental working group has lots of info here

In other news I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about politics today. Yay for more states legalizing same sex marriage! and also for slightly less war on drugs!
