Travel Advice Please

So in a few days R and I will be driving home to California, from Iowa. We will mostly be traveling along Hwy 80. We are going to stop and spend a day in Denver.

So any advice on interesting places to stop or good places to eat near 80? Things to do and places to eat in Denver? Or interesting things to listen to while we are driving?
