A Better Introduction to Me
Mar. 16th, 2010 04:52 pmI've subscribed to some people from
liv's giant friending meme. I didn't want to post there, because at the moment I don't post here at all, so don't want to put myself forward. However I thought I should but up a bit more info about me here if people where looking. So here are my responses to
liv's questionnaire:
Your identity: I'm female, I'm a geek and currently don't know what I'm doing with my life.[*]
I almost dropped out of high school. I then took few years off, eventual went community college and then got my BA in England, where I studied ecology. I'm now living at home and trying to decide what I want to do next. (Most likely grad school, but I'm very undecided about what type of program.)
I'm and agnostic Jew who was raised very secular-ly and I am now trying to learn more about Jewish history and to have more ritual in my life. (I'm learning that is harder to be Jewish by yourself.)
What you are passionate about: Ecology and the environment. Feeding people and saving the world. Books especially but not exclusively SF. Doing stuff outside.
How you use Dreamwidth: Currently I just use DW to read people who've moved here. Now that I've added some people here I'm considering cross-posting so I can get to know more people.
On LJ I mostly write about my day-to-day life. I do not think this is uninteresting and I tend to like reading about other people's daily lives. I also sometimes post short book reviews of the non-fiction I read, and I sometimes write about science. (I wish I did that more -- but it's hard to think of topics.)
I'm not linking to recent post because 1) they are on LJ 2) I'm not sure they really make much sense out of context anyways.
