forestofglorySo I decided to give up on Hunting Party. I may try it again latter, but it's not what I want to be reading right now.
What I am reading right now is Lud-in-the-Mist by Hope Mirrlees. I love the Cold Spring Press cover. However the book has just informed me that pines and olives only do well near the sea. I shall forgive it this ecological oddness because it has been quite charming so far, and was written in 1926.
