Observations: Bay Area Love Edition

We have been having very typical Bay Area weather for this time of year and I love it. We get cool foggy mornings. Then the fog burns off and we have warm sunny afternoons. But its never really hot or really cold. In we have turned the heather off so in the mornings its a little cool in the house, so I where an extra layer. It's nice and cosy. I sit at my computer drinking tea and am just the right temperature.

This month I've been walking on sections of the Bay Trail twice. This a regional trail that's planned to go all the way around the edge of the bay. The sections I walked on where right by the water. It's nice to look out over the bay for that level. You can see the golden gate bridge and the the San Francisco sky line.

The Bay Area is just so pretty! I have been feeling lucky to live here even now when there are so few places to go.

The temp difference between the Bay Area and just a bit further inland is so crazy. I live over by Sacramento and we're in the upper 90s right now. Whenever I've had to travel over to the Bay Area in the summer it's always this dilemma of, "well, I could freeze while I'm there or die of heat when I get back." But that is a nice view.

Yeah, it gets really hot just on the other side of the hills even! I shouldn't have generalized to the whole Bay Area.

yeah, summertime in the Bay. Fog till lunchtime; sun until dinnertime, when it gets windy, then it gets dark. Lather, rinse, and repeat.

Yup, luckily I think its great weather.

I'm a 4th generation Bay Area grrrl, weird weather in the summer is for when I leave here on vacation. Rain in July, wtf?

The thing that other places do that still confuses me is raining and being warm at the same time? How is that a thing that happens?

And thunderstorms? How often do we have to deal with them? Not often. Raining and being warm is typical for Maui (visiting family during the summer), but not here.
