This is so sad, and so poignant for both of the boys.

Have you considered "descriptions of physical abuse" in place of "prisoners being mistreated" which could be as little as taunting, jeering and withholding food. Also maybe change the rating to Teen & Up rather than General Audiences because of the descriptions of violence.
