Well, I was planning to working on some longer writing this morning, but I live in a part of the Bay Area that may be effected by a power outage starting at noon. (Some parts of Northern California have already had their power cut.) And that’s making me anxious and I’m having a hard time focusing longer form stuff, so have some links:
Cut From the Same Cloth A mom of a teenage girl reflects on her daughters fashion choices and on her own.
Very Bad Bus Signs and How to Make Them Better
“Survival and migration patterns of Chinese online media fandoms” by Xiqing Zheng An article in the latest Transformative Works and Cultures about the history of Chinese fandom and censorship.
My friend Jenny has revived her Authors in Fandom feature where she interviews professionally published authors who have a background in fanfic about that experience. The latest one featuring Zen Cho is great!
