forestofgloryMy nephew graduated form college on Saturday! We went up to Davis to celebrate with him on Saturday.
I need to get a new pair of glasses so this morning I went to get my prescription checked. Since I have a family history of glaucoma the doctor suggested that they take pictures of my optic nerve. So I did that -- the process was pretty boring actually. I just sat in a chair and looked into a machine and tried to focus on the right spot. I didn't even get to see the pictures afterwards. So that was little bit disappointing -- but the doctor said it will be good to have these pictures as a baseline latter on, so I'm glad I got it done.
Here's a well written article on something that made me really mad when I was taking a class on urban planing law: Laws that say limit the number of unrelated adults who can live in one house together.
I'd really like to read some more short SFF published in 2019. So far I've only read a handful things, but I've got about 20 stories in my TBR bookmarks folder. I'm thinking of doing some kind of short SFF reading challenge next month would anyone be interested in playing along? I haven't worked out the details yet but it would probably involve everyone picking a goal number of stories to read in July.
