I'm leaving in two days to attend WisCon, a feminist science fiction convention in Madison, Wisconsin! I'm working on getting ready today because I'm working tomorrow.
I am mostly packed! I have suitcase full of things to wear, I have loaded up my ereader with a lot of lovely things to read. I still need to pack various electronics but I plan to use them over the next couple of days so they will be last minute additions.
This morning I made cookies for the Tiptree Bake Sale. I made one of my personal favorites: Fudge squares. They have a layer of oaty goodness, then a layer of fudgey chcolately-ness then more oat stuff sprinkled on top. They are very tasty but a little bit messy looking. I put them in the freezer so they will keep better between now and the con.
Friday morning I want to got to this exhibit of Aldo Leopold's papers. Its the very last day that the exhibit is open! Leopold is an important figure in US environmental history so it should be fun. I think I will put a notice on the bulletin board and maybe mention it on twitter and see if anyone else wants to come with.
If any one reading this is going to the con and would like to meet up let me know.
