forestofglory: patch work quilt featuring yellow 8 pointed stars on background of night sky fabrics (Quilt)
Well It's a new month so it's time to look back on my goals for last month and set some new goals. I April I overestimated my capacity to get stuff done, so I didn't get to all my goals. Lets go over them in more detail.

1) Finish the space cat quilt top
I got this about halfway done -- the blocks are sewn into rows, now the rows need to be sewn together.

2) Finish the quilt for baby N
This is done! It arrived at its baby and I have been sent cute pictures. (Instagram has decided sometime in the last couple of weeks that only people who are logged in see pictures so I guess I need to figure out proper photo hosting or something if I want to keep sharing sewing pictures here)

3) Sew the back of the Forest Quilt
Finally! It did end up taking me two days, but only because I was slow. No pictures because its just some green flannel.

4) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
I wanted to write something a bit more polished this month, but I ended up not having as much time and brain power as I hoped so these where both off the cuff.

5) Read Five Online SFF shorts
Done, once again most of these where very short indeed.

6) Write one longer piece
I did manage to start an essay I've been thinking about for a while, but right now its at the pile of messy words stage.

7) Work on fic at least 15 days this month
I manged 14 days of fic writing, but I did post a fic so I'm calling this a success!

8) Make a vaccine appointment!
Done and arm stabbed!

So I'm at 6/8 goals completed for April with progress on the two that where not completed. Writing these goals up always makes me feel like I got a lot more done than I thought, which is one of the reasons I do it. So could be worse still for May I'm going to try and not bite off more than I can chew.

1) Finish the space cat quilt top
Since I'm halfway done, hopefully this will be quick to finish up.

2)Rainbow Quilt Top
A friend and I are doing a blanket exchange. She has sent me many lovely photos of the blanket that she's knitting me while I haven't even started the quilt I want to make for her. It's going to be one of those stripy ones that are quick to put together in rainbow. I'm excited about it!

2.5)Stretch Goal: Sew at least one block of the space bee quilt
I've had the pieces for this quilt cut out for ages, but haven't sewn any of it yet.

3) Write on Short and Sweet column
I recently found an outline for one of these in my notes -- so if I can just write it out I'll be good.

4) Finish Essay about Agrarianism
This is the one I started last month that's currently in the pile of words stage.

5) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
Maybe I'll mange something more polished this month.

6) Read Five Online SFF shorts

7)Various Medical Stuff
I need to go get my second vaccine, and then since I'll be vaccinated I made some other medical appointments too. (Mostly put this here to remind myself that its ok to take time for stuff like this)

Ok, maybe that's still a lot of stuff. We'll see how it goes. I can always drop something mid month.

What projects you folks been working on? Are there things you are excited about making?
