Goals! February Wrap Up and March Goals
Mar. 1st, 2021 10:57 amSomehow its March again. I can't say I'm pleased with this development, but since that's that case its time to talk about monthly goals.
1) Work on fic at least 20 days this month
Success! I even did a few more days. My fic has been going very slowly, and most days I only write 100-200 words. I keep thinking that I'll have more time and more focus someday, but so far that hasn't happened. I'm going to keep working on it anyways.
2) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
"Opening Up"
"Contrasts"
I try to aim to make these cheerful and informative, but this month these posts can out sad and personal.
3) Read Five Online SFF shorts
Done! I even read two novelettes!
4) Finish sewing the button up shirt for my kid
As mentioned at the mid-month check I finished this. picture
5) Either sew garments for my friends Nibblings OR Finish the Sea Quilt (Stretch goal both)
I finished both garments and I made some progress on the quilt!
Shirt
Tunic
6) Looking into getting more mental health care
I had some success at this. I communicated with my doctor and have been trying a higher dose of meds. So far that's going well, I'm feeling more cheerful and focused. I also drafted an email to a therapist but I haven't sent it yet.
So I did well on February's goals! So lets talk about my goals for this month.
1) Work on fic at least 25 days this month
Since March is bit longer than February I'm going to try to work on fic a few more days. Maybe I can finish a draft of this?
2) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
Maybe I can write something more cheerful this month.
3) Read Five Online SFF shorts
4)Finish the Sea Quilt, sea quilt mini
These are basted so I just have to do the quilting and the binding.
5)Baste the quilt for baby N, and sew a back for the forest quilt.
These are both small tasks that can be done in a afternoon, but I want them off my plate.
6)Have some kind of Passover Seder
This year the first night of Passover is March 27. I'm hoping to have some kind of Seder. Last year we where in lock down, so I hosted one over Zoom. This year I might be able to have small outdoor Seder, if things go well.
I hope this March is better for all of us than last March was.
