Queer and Fanish Links
Jun. 30th, 2019 10:57 amI've been finding lots of interesting stuff online in the last couple of days so I thought I should come share some of it here.
Here's a comic on queer protests before Stonewall
My friendd have been saying smart stuff about Good Omens and queer representation. Here's Jenny at Reading the End "Crowley and Aziraphale and Queer-Baiting" and Sarah and Megan at The Illustrated Page "Queer Baiting, Good Omens, and More Thoughts on Queer Representation". So confession -- haven't seen the new Good Omens adaption, though I read the book back in the book back in the day, and I'm not sure that I'm going to see it given how limited my TV time is right now. So I'm really following these issues form the sidelines. But I still think it is important and worth talking about.
The Fan Studies Network 2019 Conference was this weekend and Dr Lori Morimoto has uploaded the slides and notes form her talk on transcultural fandom. Its really interesting and good!
