Jun. 10th, 2014 02:07 pmSunday my friend M who I have known since we were both 9, graduated form her PsyD program. I and a bunch of her other friends and family attended the ceremony. Graduations are one the more boring modern rituals, but at least this one was fairly short. And my friend won an award for best dissertation! After the ceremony the was reception with cake. And after that there was party at her mother's house.
Monday, I had lunch with M. We ate at the Koren place that we seem to always go to now. Food was good, thought I did get a small stone in mine. Then we wandered around the Tilden Park Botanic Gardens, then came back and had some tea.
After dinner I make a cheesecake for R's birthday, which was yesterday, but we are having a small party on Wednesday. There was slightly tricky bit of mixing the chocolate into the batter with out it forming tiny lumps, and I got it to work right. I'm rather pleased about that.
