Dec. 21st, 2010 01:40 pmI've been feeling grumpy about Christmas this year. Partly because I'm wanting to develop my Jewish identity more, and celebrating Christmas seems in conflict with that. (Though in my family, it is my Jewish mother who is most into the Christmas thing, she decorates the house, and buys presents and such.) Also because I like giving things to people when I have the right thing to give, but I don't have any money this year. I do have cool crafts project which is resulting in gift-able things, but I am very far behind on it.
So this year at least I'm going to give people stuff, but not really for Christmas. (Not for another holiday either) So in other words I'm going to make stuff for people and not worry too much about when it gets to them. I will also try not to worry about the religious significance of all this.
