I've been catching up with online short fiction that I wanted to read. (There is a lot of it, which is an excellent thing.) Here are some things I've read since my last short fiction rec post that I think are good and worth your time.

Seven Commentaries on an Imperfect Land by Ruthanna Emrys Domestic Jewish Fantasy

Three Partitions by Bogi Takács Not so domestic Jewish Science Fiction that deals with gender issues.

The Contemporary Foxwife by Yoon Ha Lee This one of my very favorite stories this year. Domestic life on a space station with fantasy elements. About family connections.

Spring Festival:Happiness, Anger, Love, Sorrow, Joy by Xia Jia, translated by Ken Liu This hard to explain but really good.

Daughter of Necessity by Marie Brennan

Have you read any good short fiction lately?

I recommended Kaleidoscope, ed Alisa Krasnostein and Julia Rios, in my latest books read piece, 20 stories with diverse protagonists of which I felt only 1 or 2 were rather weak, while I'd enthusiastically recommend at least 10 of them.
