Book Chatter: 2013 in Review

forestofgloryGoodreads says I read 192 books this year! I read a bunch of short books (middle grade books are nice in stressful times.) Also 33 of those books are graphic novels which are very quick reads. There are also a few books I started an didn't finish in that count.

The oldest book I read was Orlando by Virginia Woolf (1928) and the newest book was Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie (October 2013). I read far more new releases this year than in previous years, at total of 19. This is in part because I had bit more money to buy books, and in part because I bought a worldcon membership and tried to keep up for the Hugos.
I read 33 books by POC or 17% which beats out 2012's 9%. Next year I would like to reach 20% or more.
I read 10 anthologies and collections. I read 16 works of non-fiction.
