Book Chatter
Aug. 27th, 2013 08:01 pmI have successfully switched libraries. I returned all the books to the home library, and successfully checked out lots of books form the library here. Though I'm currently reading a book I own because it has been waiting for a while, and it was calling to me.
I've been trying to be a bit better about reading non-fiction. Including the two books I have started I have are 6 books I'd like to read for my thesis. One of the started ones is for skimming on the bus, and the other is for reading. I have hard time convincing myself to skim -- even books that are only kind of relevant to the thesis sound really interesting and like something I don't want to miss.
I'm also reading my way through the three issues of Planning, the magazine of the American Planning Association, which arrived over the summer. I'm finding that it connects to my recent experiences surprisingly often. (For example I found out why gas in Wyoming is cheap any more -- they've recently raised their gas tax by 10 cents.)
Oh and I won at book in a blog give away! Thanks so much
