Good Things This Week

R and I have been married for a year as of last Monday! We celebrated with a fancy lunch and family party in the evening. My mom made us a smaller version of the wedding cake, and vanilla ice cream.

I finished a draft of a chapter of my thesis. Feels like major progress is being made.

A friend who has moved to Germany was in town and got to see her, and to help celebrate her recent marriage.
