Domestic Projects
Jul. 3rd, 2010 03:25 pmI've been in domestic projects mode today. I'm baking bread (for the third consecutive week!).
My ongoing project is shorting recipe clippings. This started because of the bookshelves -- I finished with the books, but there was this pesky pile of food magazines (all most all Gourmet), sitting on the bottom of the dining room bookshelf. So I decided to go thought the magazines and cut out the recipes we might want to keep. I'm still working on that part, but the project has expanded to saved newspapers (with my mom's help -- as she saved them). Also I now plan to organize all the clipped recipes, including the semi-shorted ones from the kitchen.
Then today's third project happened because my brother is declutering his room, and wanted a place to put some blankets he wasn't using. There is a place for that -- the linen closet. However the linen closet was a mess. I have now created a bigger mess by removing everything from the linen closet and shorting it into various piles. Hopefully it will all get put back (except the stuff that isn't going back) latter today or tomorrow.
