So I've been a member of Goodreads for a bit over two years now. (I'm forestofglory over there.) Goodreads let me do the one thing I really wanted, plus some other neat things. I've been enjoying it very much. The one thing I wanted was to keep an online to-read list with tags. Since I get most of my book recommendations from the internet, its great to be able to add book as soon as hear about it. I also enjoy the social network part of goodreads -- I like seeing what my friends are reading -- and sometimes I find out about interesting books that way. I didn't think I wanted to keep track of what I read before I joined goodreads, but the site makes it so easy, and it turns out to be rather useful.
When I joined I uploaded my Amazon wish list, which I was using as to-read list for lack of anything better. All those books where added to the site on Oct 24 2010. After two years I have about 22 books that are still marked to-read. After a recent book buying spurge focused on helping me finish off the list I own about 10 of those 22 books. (If you count two that are on my dad's kindle.) So I seem to get around to books rather slowly. But I like feeling almost done with some. (Still there are a few out of print books which I can't find a cheap copy of online -- so it might be a while before I finish all of the books.)
