Well we are halfway through November, so its time to check in with my goals for the month and see how things are going.

1) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
I have not done one of these yet.

2)Read Five Online SFF shorts (Stretch goal read some of a collection form my physical TBR)
I have read three! And I stared reading Consolation Songs last night so I've even hit the stretch goal!

3) Write 10k8k words of or finish a draft of “Gone to the Other End of the Sky” the Untamed Space AU fic I’ve been writing
This is not going great. At the start of the month I had 4521 words and now I have 7159 words, so I've only written 2,638 words. I don't think I can write 7,400 words in the next two weeks. So I'm lowering my goal to writing 8k words this month -- which still might be a stretch.

4)Finish the quilt I quilted last month
Done! I'm keeping this one so its been nice to get to snuggle with it.

5) Thanksgiving
I'm still super bummed about all the restrictions around the holiday, even though actually I'm pretty lucky. My parents live across town and are in our bubble so they can come over for an outdoor meal. And last night R came up with the idea of bringing plates to some of our local friends who are choosing not to travel which made me feel a bit better. I can still feed people!

I have done a little bit of menu planning, mostly for shopping logistics reasons but I need to sit down and write out a menu.

6)Finished one of the two quilt tops that I have stared
Done! I've been calling this one the forest quilt and I'm really happy with how it came out!

6.5) Stretch Goal:Finish the other quilt top
I am likely to do this regardless, but if I make it a goal I'm more likely to remember to link to pictures here.

So, I'm doing great at all my non-writing goals but am way behind on my writing goals. The last two weeks have been very stressful, and I have been dealing with that by crafting a lot. However I have not had a lot of focus with which to write. Hopefully the rest of the month will be better writing-wise.

I hope all of you are taking care of yourselves and finding some time for creative projects.
