Mid-October Goal Update

It's the middle of October so time to check in on how I'm doing on my goals for the month. I'm going to list each goal and give an update on it.

1)finish the two long sleeve shirt that I cut out
Finished one!

2)Quilt the quilt that I basted
No progress on this. I'm planning to do it after I finish the shirts, if I don't get distracted by the new quilt top I'm piecing.

3) Write two posts talking about what I've been observing in the built and natural environment around me
Written one: "Watching the Moon"

4)Read Five Online SFF shorts (Stretch goal read some of a collection form my physical TBR)
I've read three.

5)Voting research
I have filled out my sample ballot, which is like ten pages long. I went an read all the local candidate statements or things like school boards and local transit districts. Planning to vote soon. We have mail in ballots like everyone in California this year, and I'm going to drop mine off in one of boxes they have set up just to be sure. (Or postal service has been mostly fine, but why take risks?)

6)Celebrate my kid's birthday!
Her birthday was earlier this week and I think she had a good day. There was cake and presents and we let her skip the prerecorded part of her school.

7)Halloween!
Not much progress on this front. Kid is refusing to commit to a consume idea. My parents have gotten into being the one trick-or-treat house though

8)Finish one long blog post
Done! This another post for Lady Business, and I'll link to in here when it goes up.

I feel very good about how I'm doing with these goals.
