Bits and Bobs

Housesitting at my parents. I'm not really a fan of the big house by myself. R is staying home and getting work

We have been having a heat wave the last few days. Not Iowa hot, but still rather warm. The house does not have air conditioning because it is rarely needed in this climate, but today it is a bit warm inside.

I have ordered some proper glass containers for my parents' kitchen. I found that these really made a difference in finding and eating leftovers so I hope they will help out over here. I moved some plastic containers to the closet to make room for the new containers which will .

Not getting a lot of thesis stuff done, but my adviser did read my draft while I was gone and said that it was improved form the last draft I sent him. So that is positive. I do wish he would write more detailed comments though.

Have started some Hugo reading. I got a few things out form the library so am reading Wonderbook and about to start Neptune's Brood. I also have book by one of the Campbell nominees, plus a few more books on hold some of which are Hugo related.
