My weekend so far
Jul. 8th, 2012 12:39 pmThis weekend R is out of town so I am staying at my parents house to spend some time with them. I got a ride over on Friday afternoon, hung out for a bit, then my mom and I went to shabbot dinner at a Friend's place. We had nice time. Though I disagreed with another guest about politics, and didn't know what to say and be polite so I didn't say anything.
Saturday I went to a native plant nursery with my mother. She's decided to make pots of plants to decorate the wedding. I think the wedding would be fine without but don't want to start a fight. Anyways going to nurseries is fun.
Next we went to the farmers market. There's lots of stone fruit but not many tomatoes. There are usually more tomatoes by this time of year. Still we bought lots of yummy stone fruit.
In the afternoon my parents when out visit some friends and I stayed and read. I'm reading a very long book so it was nice to have some time to just read it.
In the evening my parents got back but my mother had a lot to do so I made dinner -- make your own tacos. I refried some defrosted beans, grated cheese, cut up little tomatoes and fried some summer squash. Dinner was good if I do say so myself.
This morning I walked to Moe's bookstore with my Dad. We took a pile of books he wanted to sell but they only wanted one of them. Still I browsed a bit and bought some books. Two history books and a novel.
