For solstice I lit all the half started tea lights and small candles we had in the candle drawer. They looked really pretty and added some cheer to the longest night.

I have become allergic to our Christmas tree. We have small tree in a pot, which we bring in and decorate every year. This time when I was helping to bring it it, my hands started to ich and then I noticed funny bumps on my hands. Not festive.

Last night I made honey caramels. I think they came out well -- I'm especially happy that they have nice texture as I've had trouble with that in the past.

Today I'm making saffron bread. The bread and the caramels are for R's family.
